Abhishek-Rani still rock... [indiatimes,9 May, 2007 l 0058 hrs IST]
Actors Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherji no doubt share fantastic on-screen chemistry. But with Abhishek and Aishwarya's recent releases – Guru and Umrao Jaan – one can't ignore the Abhi-Ash on-screen chemistry either.
So when we conducted a poll recently, and asked whom the hot Abhishek shared best on-screen chemistry with, 82 per cent of the folks said Rani, while 11 per cent opted for Ash.
Guess the B&B ( Bunty Aur Babli ) magic works much more than the A&A (Ash & Abhi) chemistry, only on screen, of course! Well, at least the junta seems to think so.

Rani Snubbed?? [9 May 2007> Rani Mukherji, one of the finest actresses of bollywood who was once considered very close to Jaya and Abhishek Bachchan, was snubbed by Jaya recently on the sets of Yashraj Films’ Laaga Chunri Mein Daag’ in Varanasi, when Jaya refused a lunch invitation from Rani and instead ordered the same for herself from a local restaurant. Rani tried every trick in the book to be friendly and end the cold vibes between her and Jaya Bachchan but the senior lady refused to return the overtures and would sit quietly after delivering her dialogues during the shooting. As a source present on the set reveals, ‘ It was evident that something was wrong between Jaya and Rani. Jaya was not happy about the fact that Rani would come to the location with her family and fool around on the sets. When Rani invited Jaya for lunch, she turned down the offer saying that she did not feel like eating. She went to her vanity van and ordered food from a five-star restaurant instead.’ In may be recalled that earlier too Jaya Bachchan was not very happy with Rani Mukherji over the media reports about her proximity with Abhishek Bachchan and it was the reason Rani was not invited for the wedding of Abhishek and Aishwarya. Changing times, changing rishtey!! magnamags.com/magna_stardust/node/1129

Abhi having Aish with Rani! By: Shaheen Parkar May 12, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bachchan Jr to shoot a romantic track with Mukerji for the first time after his marriage
Love All? Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji The unit of Pradeep Sarkar’s Laaga Chunari Mein Daag will soon go to Spain for a shoot schedule.
The schedule includes a romantic song, to be picturised on Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan.
The track, Zara muskura ke chalo, will be used to build up chemistry between the characters played by Rani and Abhishek.
Other stars in the film include Jaya Bachchan, Konkana Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher and Kunal Kapoor.
Shadi ke baad
Says an onlooker, “The song picturisation is being keenly watched as this is the first time Abhishek is doing a romantic track with Rani after his marriage to Aishwarya Rai.
Everyone knows about the cold vibes between Rani and Abhi post his wedding, so it will be seen if both the actors can recreate their earlier on-screen chemistry as seen in films like Yuva and Bunty Aur Babli.”
Spanish flavour
It is learnt that the recently recorded Zara muskura ke chalo is an extremely soft number with a distinct Spanish flavour, keeping in view the exotic location of the shoot.
Swanand Kirkire is the lyricist of the song, and Shantanu Moitra has composed the film’s music. Shantanu had earlier composed music for Pradeep Sarkar’s directorial debut, Parineeta.
They like it
When asked about the track, Moitra says, “I really can’t talk much about the music or the film.”
Adds the onlooker, “The producer, Yash Raj Films, like the song very much. It is a highly soothing track with some lovey-dovey lyrics.”
Laaga Chunari Mein Daag is Sarkar’s first venture with Yash Raj and has been extensively shot in Banaras

Abhishek's heroines gulfnews
Lara Dutta says she's thrilled to work with Abhishek Bachchan again and talks of a special comfort level the two share.
Rani Mukherjee, moviegoers will agree, has a wonderful relationship with Abhi as well. That, apparently, upset Aishwarya Rai so much that she made sure Rani wasn't invited to the Ash-Abhi wedding.
Years ago, when Abhi was turning out one flop after another, Sushmita Sen, another Miss Universe, said he was a horse who lasted the long race ("Lambi race ka ghora"). Her words have since proved prophetic.
