Rani Mukherji
I am a God-fearing person. Even my aunt (actress Debasree Roy) is a firm believer of Sai Baba. Even while travelling, she would carry Giridhari Gopal and Guruji's photograph and draws strength from them. I am not a fanatic, but whenever I get a chance I visit Siddhivinayak Mandir and Kali Mandir in Goregaon.

Rani Mukherjee talks to you.
What is your most marked characteristic? My honesty and sincerity
What do you consider your greatest achievement? Building people's faith and confidence in me
When and where were you happiest? When my dad survived his second bypass
What is your greatest regret? Nothing really
What is your idea of perfect happiness? My peace of mind
Where would you like to live? Wherever I get most security, happiness and comfort
What is your greatest fear? GOD
What is trait you most deplore in yourself? At times, saying or doing things whereby I am misunderstood
What is the trait you most deplore in others? Insincerity, hypocrisy and a manipulative bent of mind
What is your favourite journey? From my bedroom to my bathroom; it's sweet and short
What is the quality you most like in a man? He should be humble, warm, down-to-earth and always smiling
What is the quality you most like in a woman? Same as in a man
What do you most value in your friends? Their true love for me
How would you like to die? Peacefully, without pain

Rani Mukherji says: I feel that that acting is something you do only if you love it. People say it is difficult because we face situations that are larger than life and you start to hallucinate in order to portray that character. (On acting) I will do anything for Karan Johar. He is a buddy. He treats me like his little sister and is always there for me. He even suggests the kind of films I should be doing or not doing. (On working with Karan Johar) . Anilji (Kapoor) and I have globe-trotted for the song shoots. The South unit would go on in their mother tongue around me -- I hope they weren't speaking ill of me! (On the Nayak experience) When I did Ghulam (with Aamir Khan) and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (with Shah Rukh Khan), I was treated like a child. Both of them were very protective towards me. I will always be thankful to them. They played a very important role in shaping my career. (On working with the Khan duo)

• I cannot take 'Rani the actress' off me compeletely I owe a lot to her.
• Maybe I would like to see what it's like to be a man. You know, see what it's like to be able to flirt easily with women, to be a 'charmer.'
• Now I put my heart and soul into every role I do. Post-'Black', people's expectations are scary.
• For me, hypocrisy is a total no-no.
• I get so passionate about anything I do, I don't know how I can balance a personal with a professional life.
• Preity is a lovely co-star. All our films together have worked. She keeps joking that she'll put me in her wedding picture to ensure her marriage would be a super hit .
• Everyone says I should not dress up like that. But my fans on the e-mail seem to love my saris. So why shouldn't I?"
• And if I was found to be good for two awards, it doesn't mean I should be given just one just to make the awards look more democratic.
• Black will always be the most significant film in my career
•Tomorrow, when it's all gone and I'm married, I need to be that simple Bengali girl, which I am at heart.
• If you don't grow as an actor, you don't change.
• I don't feel insecure but I always want to do better films.
• I've slogged hard to get where I am.
•I don't believe that by doing an item number or looking sexy you break your goody-two shoes image.
