Tell us something about your character in the film?
Rani Mukerji: I play the character of Maya in this film. She is a normal girl staying in New York and is married to Rishi Talwar, played by Abhishekh Bachchan. She teaches small children in a school like a nursery and is a cleanliness freak.
What attracted to you to the script of this film?
Rani Mukerji: The main attraction was it was Karan’s movie and Karan is the biggest attraction of this film because I love Karan as a writer and as a director.
What kind of message does this film convey?
Rani Mukerji: The message that this film conveys is to be honest in your life. It is through this film that you come to a conclusion that at the end of it all the more honest that you are to yourself, the happier you are in your life.
How was the shooting experience in New York?
Rani Mukerji: The shooting experience was great be it New York, Bombay or Malaysia. As I said, it was very fortunate for me to work in Karan’s film. And the best part of working with him is that I know everybody on the sets. And this time it got even better because the people behind the camera and in front of the camera were all my friends. So it was a wonderful shooting experience because it is always fun to work with people who know you and whom you can gel with.
