Jodi Manifesto: Rani Mukherjee/Abhishek Bachchan
Blurb: I was more or less introduced to Bollywood a little over a year ago, and my first film was Bunty Aur Babli. I adored this film (still do!), and I adore the chemistry of Rani and Abhishek even more. I've now seen almost 60 Bollywood films, and as much as I do enjoy some other actors and pairings, I have to say Rani and Abhishek are my all-time favorite. There's something about these two that just naturally click to me. Despite only seeing them together in B&B and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, I feel Abhishek plays off of Rani better than other actresses (with maybe exception Aishwarya) in his other films. I'd like to hope they get along well off screen and joke around, which transfers to enjoyable performances on screen.
They definitely have sex appeal! Bunty aur Babli is such a fun film to watch with all the costumes and humorous antics. Nach Baliye is my favorite song from this movie and one of my favorite Bollywood songs period. I love the high energy and I remember being so impressed when I saw it the first time. A friend of mine and I tried learning this dance last year... it was quite insane to say the least.
KANK! What an emotional movie! I remember when I first watched it, I was upset because of the character's failing marriage in this film, and I said outloud, "But you're Bunty and Babli! You're suppose to love each other!" ((For what it's worth, I said the same with SRK & Preity - "You're Veer and Zaara! You're suppose to love each other!))
This has the be the funniest moment in the whole film!
Sorry my spam isn't longer. It was in my mind, haha. But anyway, I'd love to see these two act together again in the near future. Definitely another comedy, since they're so cute and fun together. I just love their on screen chemistry! ~♥
